I’ve known since I was very young that I was slowly losing my sight and have been legally blind for more than a decade.

But don’t feel bad for me, I have a handsome guide dog who keeps me in line and is helping me gain back the independence I was losing due to vision loss.

I’ve lived with this condition ( RP*) long enough now, that I’ve heard all the comments, questions and platitudes. I do understand that when meeting someone with a white cane or guide dog for the first time, most people feel the need to say something, anything, but…
